Rowan Gates
Rowan has more than 35 years of experience in consulting and human resource development, as both an internal practitioner and an external consultant. With a focus on leadership and management development, Rowan has coached executives and leaders at multiple levels to shape culture and drive high performance across organizations. His deep expertise is in working with intact teams and improving productivity between work groups within organizations, and he has extensive experience in creating effective, interactive virtual learning environments for global audiences.
Rowan operates globally, with a focus on the Asia-Pacific, Sub Continent and Australian regions. He has worked and consulted in more than 20 different countries across a broad range of industries, including high-tech, entertainment, banking, insurance, retail, and the oil and gas industry. Rowan is highly skilled at facilitating in multicultural environments.
Rowan has held a variety of internal positions in training and development, most recently with Nortal Networks, where he was the global prime of leadership development in their London and Nashville Learning Institutes for 5 years. Prior to Nortel, he was Leader of Management Development in BankWest/Commonwealth Bank in Perth, and held several leadership roles in the finance and insurance industries.
Rowan has a BComm in Management and Marketing and a BSc in Psychology from the University of Western Australia. Certifications include Executive Coach (Lore), HBDI, Click Colors, DDI Assessment Centres, and several 360 assessments.
Rowan enjoys life in Perth, Western Australia where he lives with his wife and two children. He is a keen beachgoer, runs and swims daily when he is not travelling, and frequently can be found on the golf course and the tennis court.
